Shaw Brothers legend Lau Kar-leung roared back to the top of the Asian box office charts with the smash hit action comedy ‘Tiger on the Beat’. Shot for Cinema City, the film starred huge Chinese superstar Chow Yun-fat opposite Chinese-American martial arts actor Conan Lee. Chow plays a goofy, gun-wielding veteran cop, Lee his muscular, high-kicking new partner. Director Lau cast his adopted brother Gordon Liu among the bad guys, and gave support roles to many of his Shaw Brothers players, including the legendary Ti Lung.
