Reel East’s The Sammo Hung Collection celebrates the work of China’s Orson Welles of action. This triple threat actor, director and choreographer has spent most of his career revolutionising Hong Kong action cinema. Reel East is proud to present original memorabilia from some of Sammo’s milestone movies.

‘Winners and Sinners’ saw Sammo combine slapstick comedy and slambang martial arts action into a winning box office combination. Hong Kong audiences eagerly awaited further installments in the franchise, that teamed Sammo with fellow Golden Harvest martial arts stars Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao, as well as a line-up of popular Hong Kong comedians.

For ‘My Lucky Stars’, the action shifts to Japan. Super cops played by Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao have pursued a suspect there. Biao gets captured and Jackie puts the old gang back together to help find him. The expected madcap martial and mirthful madness ensues…

Shooting on locations in Japan and on stages at Golden Harvest in Hong Kong, Sammo balances wacky comedy scenes, featuring Richard Ng, Eric Tsang and the rest of the Lucky Stars gang, and high impact action scenes with genre veterans Dick Wei and Lau Kar-wing. The film manages to muscle in cult actor Bolo Yeung and Japanese power-lifting champion Michiko Nishiwaki.
